Privacy Policy

ClipScript ("we") provides transcript extraction and script analysis for publicly available short-form videos. This page explains what we collect and how it is used.

What we collect

• Account data: your email address (used only as your account identifier and, if you sign in with Google, obtained from your Google profile) and a hashed password if you set one. We do not receive or store your Google password.
• Usage data: the video links you submit, extracted transcripts, and your minute balance and purchase history, so the service can function and you can revisit past extractions.
• Technical data: a hashed form of your network address, used solely to limit free-trial abuse. We do not store raw IP addresses for this purpose.
• Aggregate page statistics: which page was viewed, the referring site's domain, and how long the page was open. This is measured by us, on our own servers — no third-party analytics provider is involved and no cookie is set. Visits are grouped under an identifier derived by hashing your network address, browser type and the current date together; because the date is part of it, the identifier changes every day and cannot be used to follow you over time or to recover your address.

What we do not do

• We do not send marketing email, and we never share or sell your data to third parties.
• We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. A single token in your browser's local storage keeps you signed in.

Payments

Payments are processed by Paddle, our merchant of record. We never see or store your card details.

Data retention & deletion

Extraction history is kept so you can revisit it. To delete your account and associated data, contact us and we will remove it.
